I can't believe that being gay is still an issue in America. New Zealand was one of the 1st countries to allow gay marriage and it is generally not discussed here, so my impression is that it is much more accepted here. My response of late to people that tell me they are against gay marriage is to tell them "so don't marry a gay." I don't think I've changed any minds, but what the fuck, it brings a smile to my face.
